Note: When using zooms you have a bit more freedom in terms of composition but the same rule applies. Keep talant about an arms length away from the camera if them mic is camera mounted. In the previous episode (Ghost Town), we're using the same lens but I'm just a bit further back. Still OK but a zoom like a 24-70 would work very well for this type of stuff.

Nelson Nevada Ghost Town Workshop

Unbelievable teaching experience.
Note on the audio...

The RØDE Video Mic Pro is by far the best of the on camera mics out there. I think I have tested them all (or at least almost all), of them. Been using for ages and it lives on my C100 now. The second half of the video above talks a little bit about the experience.

I'll be heading out to Vegas early this year to scout and set up for this workshop that will focus on camera movement and lighting control.

This field trip will take place at the Nelson Nevada Ghost Town and will be a very unique experience for attendees. Its all an day field trip and will include not only a great location but a team of production experts and actors for you to get very hands-on instruction with some of the best equipment out there.

We'll have great equipment from sponsors such as Genus, Ikan, Indie Dolly, Induro, Kessler, Lastolite, Manfrotto, Marshall, Nice Industries, Redrock Micro, Tiffen and Zacuto.
