A77 MKIII...
This is from Friday's session because it was the first episode I had recorded with the A77. It's an interesting camera. The 16-50 f/2.8 lens is really nice and the handling of the camera and the LCD position is also nice.
I would say that it's the first real alternative to the Canon DSLRs that has an APS-C sensor but it isn't a huge leap forward three years later. The auto tracking and focus works well, but you can't lock down your shutter speed in that mode so it's a bit of a deal breaker for me. I would want to have full manual control when using it even if that meant keeping my aperture at a 5.6 or higher so that the auto focus and tracking systems could work well.
Sticking with the 5DMKII for now but the Sony is definitely worth a look. It can record 60p at 1080 BTW. Pretty cool!

Thanks for taking me back to my old Revox A77. She was a beauty. The Sony A77 takes me back as well - to the first pellicle - from Canon:
