Matthews Grip & Electric??? What the hell was I thinking mixing two companies that I know together? I need my head cleaned out!

Anyway...

We thought the sound never got recorded to the H4n because when I did the ingest section in class I couldn't find it. We gave the sound guy hell for it.

It turns out the clock was reset on the H4n and the date stamp of the file was dated December 31st of 2007. When I got home I found the file!

Sorry to the class. Sorry to the sound recordist. You done good.

Just re-iterating what previous poster stated: Video is not loading, and I've tried it on FF, Safari, and Chrome.

I get the still image of you and the bearded fella, but when I click on the "Play" button, it's spinning beachballs all the way.

Yeah, I can't watch it either.

Yeah, the file isn't playing in the Blip.tv player for some reason - here's a link to the MP4 file, which works by itself in your browser.

This is a really common problem I have with the H4N. It's a real pain. Always worth cleaning out the memory card so it's easy to see what you've just recorded, and expecting everything to be dated Dec 2007 / Jan 2008. Same goes for quite a few different types of devices these days. I presume it's because after all the electronic waste regulations (and to save on costs), they don't install little batteries to keep the clock going, so it resets the clock every time you remove or completely run down the batteries?

Crikey - my mistake, sorry, that file freezes Firefox. Only works in Safari. Something wrong with either the file or Blip's delivery of it.

Definitely a Blip issue. It played fine last night when I uploaded the files.

Just re-uploaded the files and that seems have done the trick. Another "blow air into the Atari cartridge" moment.

I look forward to watching this video because I heard from folks that this sound recordist is one of today's rising stars. Hope to see and hear it soon!

I can't get the video to run on Firefox, Chrome or IE all running on Win 7. I don't think this is a browser related issue.
