Lens Flare...
Sorry about the black & white look. Quick set-up that had to get squeezed into the day and then I realized there was lens flare. There was no time to reshoot, so a b&w treatment and crushed blacks is what you get.
The thumbnail/poster frame above is of the original footage.

Hi Jem
Just wondering if you are doing all those interviews you mentioned with the 5D? If so, one question - does the 5D overheat doing that many interviews back to back? I shoot a lot of interviews too and I'm thinking the 5D/7D would be great for getting the BG out of focus in small hotel room type situations - impossible with my 3/4" chip camera.
Thanks for all the posts by the way - very informative :-)
Thanks
I was waiting for a rig video for a while now and it's finally here :D
The Z-Finder is obviously a great product with fantastic build quality, but is it really worth the price?
Won't the Loupe accept another teardrop other than the original eyepiece?

I too have RedRock 's "theEvent" and Zacuto's Z-Finder and love them both. It was a bit tough coughing up the money for the Z-Finder but I can't imagine shooting handheld without it now. Well worth the price IMO... the 3X magnifier really helps me with keeping things in focus.
I just wish I could save up enough money to add a follow focus on my rig. <*sigh*>
Andy,
I'm using the EX1 with the M2 Encore from Redrock Micro for the interviews. That's how we get that shallow DOF. We have same day edits so speed is an issue.
I've never had my 5D overheat but it definitely happens.

Filipe,
The Z-Finder is probably the best solution out there right now. I resisted, but it really is worth it.

Mark,
It will happen! The follow-focus, I mean. You will find a way. We all do.
